Major Milestone Completed with Opening of New Parking Deck

Parking Deck Ribbon Cutting

A ribbon-cutting for the Infinite Energy Center’s new 2,400-space parking deck was held last week on September 19. CID Board Member and Gwinnett Convention and Visitors Bureau Chief Operating Officer Stan Hall led the ceremony, and Gwinnett County leaders and community partners attended to celebrate the opening of the new deck.

The deck is the first completed project of the Infinite Energy Center master plan for expansion, and the first step that allows the rest of the project to happen. A second deck is still under construction and slated for completion in December.

The deck can be accessed from both the Sugarloaf Parkway and Satellite Boulevard entrances, where new traffic signals were recently installed. In addition to an expansion and renovation of the Infinite Energy Center, other improvements to the campus include a Westin Hotel and the mixed-use entertainment district Revel.

There is currently no fee to use the deck, but there are plans to implement paid parking in the future.
