What excites you most about the future of the CID?

It is always exciting to see some of the beautification projects in the Sugarloaf CID.  Most recently, the underpass mural and the Gateway Monument installations have been attractive additions to the area.  While the beautification projects have a big impact and are easy to see, I am also excited about the technology projects that have increased security and transportation connectivity in the CID.

What book or podcast inspires you most and why?

I have been listening to How I Built This, a podcast by Guy Raz, recently.  I am focused on retail real estate with Retail Planning Corporation each day, so it is nice to hear about the growth and challenges in businesses outside of real estate and see how some of those concepts can be applied to the retail industry.

What is one priority or project for the CID that you would like to see completed in the next 5 years

I would like to continue seeing more placemaking projects and beautification of the Sugarloaf CID.

Where do you like to spend your free time? Are there any hobbies or activities that help you “recharge”?

I spend a good amount of time on the weekend on the golf course.  It’s a good time to recharge with friends or with my son when he is back from college.  Otherwise, you can find me and my dog Chief in North Georgia hitting some hiking trails to get some exercise and recharge.
