Daisy Promoted to Director of Operations

We’re pleased to announce that after almost two years as Project Manager, we’ve promoted Daisy Mills to serve as Director of Operations!

“I am grateful to have learned so much from Sugarloaf CID leadership, Board Members, colleagues, and partners these past two years. This work is challenging yet so rewarding; I am excited to take on this new role and see what more we can accomplish to make this area even better.”

Here is a snapshot of some work that Daisy has been a part of:

Project Highlights

  • Assisting with the project management to install both sides of the Synchronicity Mural, totaling over 21,000 sq. ft.
  • Leading the research, Call for Artists, and installation of Gwinnett’s first preformed thermoplastic crosswalks, located at Satellite Blvd. and the entrance to the Gas South District
  • Coordinating work with multiple vendors for the fabrication and installation of the Sugarloaf Ascension Sculpture

Program Highlights

  • Graduating from Leadership Gwinnett’s Class of 2025
  • Coordinating the new Sugarloaf Security Meetings in partnership with the Gwinnett Police
  • Ensuring the area remains bright and attractive by managing the CID’s landscape maintenance program in the public right-of-way

Daisy joined the CID in March of 2024 after working for two of North Carolina’s largest counties in the Budget and Management Departments; you can read more about her background here.
