The Sugarloaf CID recently completed a landscaping installation on the east side of the I-85 interchange at Sugarloaf Parkway. This project creates a welcoming experience for visitors entering the district.
The CID installed landscaping on the west side of the Sugarloaf at I-85 interchange at the time of the CID formation, and we have added landscaping in roadway medians as part of roadway improvements on Sugarloaf Parkway and Satellite Boulevard.
These landscaping improvements make our district more attractive and help establish a sense of place and pride in our community.
Keeping these landscaping investments clean and well maintained is also important to make sure the area remains attractive to businesses, residents, and visitors. The Sugarloaf CID contracts with Russell Landscaping to provide mowing, weed control, and litter removal in our landscaped areas and along the right-of way along our major corridors. Last year, we doubled the area covered by our maintenance contract to include expansion areas where new properties were added to our district.
