Car break ins are the top crime impacting the Sugarloaf area. While our cameras help the police quickly respond when crimes occur, we also want to raise awareness to prevent these crimes from happening. In partnership with the Gwinnett Police Department, we’ve developed signage for property owners to help in the awareness campaign to remind people to take their valuables and lock their vehicle. Typically about half of the cars being broken into were left unlocked, so reducing the number of unlocked cars will help to reduce crime in our district.
This signage is placed in parking lots to remind you to take your valuables and lock your vehicle to avoid being a target for crime.
